Tertia Beharie is a patent attorney who covers domestic and international patent matters, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. She specialises in filing applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, agrichemical, metallurgical and biochemical fields, and also deals with biodiversity and traditional knowledge issues. She handles patent and design applications received from abroad, as well as the prosecution of domestic patent and design applications. She is a fellow of SAIIPL and a member of both the Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association and the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys.

Law Vice President, Innovation Elizabeth Stewart Bradley has practised law for more than 20 years and she specialises in trademarks, copyright, social media, domain names, brand management, portfolio management, prosecution and enforcement, and online brand protection.
She served as the vice president and chief trademark counsel for Cadbury for eight years before joining BMS in 2011. She is also an INTA treasurer and member of the association’s executive committee.
In 2019, she was the co-chair of IP Owners Association’s Women in IP law committee, where she helped create a mentoring programme for women in law.
