Conference preview: 2018 AIPPI World Congress, Cancun
The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) is dedicated to the development and improvement of laws for the protection of IP at national and international levels worldwide. More than 125 countries are represented across its membership of over 9,000 IP professionals of all backgrounds.
The 2018 AIPPI World Congress will take place at the Cancun International Convention Center and the hotel Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun from September 23 to 26.
Cancun, in Mayan kaan kun, translates to “nest of snakes” and is located on the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. Its geographical location, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, is blessed with natural beauty and enriched by cultural heritage and biodiversity.
The annual AIPPI World Congress provides a fantastic opportunity to learn about and discuss many areas of IP law, from artificial intelligence to topics in pharma. The Panel Sessions will cover topics including standard essential patents (SEPs), innovation in agriculture, personality rights, free trade agreements and more.
