Weil, Gotshal & Manges makes series of appointments
Weil, Gotshal & Manges has appointed two IP counsel among a string of elections across offices including Boston, Hong Kong, London, New York and Washington, DC.
Jacob Ebin has been appointed in the complex commercial litigation and IP and media practices.
Based in the New York office, Ebin has experience in copyright, trademark, unfair competition, and music licensing issues.
Robert Vlasis has been appointed in the patent litigation practice in Washington, DC.
He has litigated 13 US International Trade Commission investigations and has undertaken work for GE, Samsung, Microsoft, and Under Armour.
Barry Wolf, executive partner at the firm, said: “They embody the Weil hallmarks of passion, creativity and business acumen and will further strengthen our ability to effectively partner with clients to tackle complex, challenging matters.”
Ten partners and nine counsel were elected by the firm. All appointments are effective January 1, 2018.
