Paul Hastings hires new LA-based partner

Law firm Paul Hastings has bolstered its Los Angeles office and patent department with the appointment of a new partner.

Andrew Grossman, a patent litigation specialist, will be working in both the litigation and IP practices.

He joins from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr and prior to that was a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

Grossman’s practice centres on the software and electronics industries. He has previously represented Research In Motion Ltd, the developer of BlackBerry devices.

"Increasingly, we're seeing patent disputes that are international in nature, so I think having an international platform at Paul Hastings will be extremely helpful,” said Grossman.

Paul Hastings has offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo.
