Orrick bolsters San Francisco office with patent trial lawyer
Orrick has hired Clement Roberts, a patent trial lawyer, as a partner from IP boutique firm Durie Tangri.
Roberts, who was a founding partner of Durie Tangri, will work in Orrick’s San Francisco office.
He focuses his practice on patent litigation and complex commercial cases on technology, with his clients including fitness technology company Fitbit.
Roberts said Durie Tangri was an “incredible experience and I am proud of what we built”, but that “my practice has grown to the point where my clients will benefit from the additional depth that Orrick can provide”.
Roberts’ arrival comes after Jared Bobrow and Jason Lang joined the firm’s Silicon Valley office as co-chair of the global IP practice and partner in the patent litigation group in May. They both joined from Weil Gotshal & Manges.
