Mewburn Ellis hires new partner from Withers and Rogers
European law firm Mewburn Ellis has hired Andrew Mears as a partner from Withers and Rogers.
As a qualified patent attorney in the UK, Europe and Singapore, Mears has focused his career on the electronics and mechanical industries, including telecommunications, semiconductor devices and aerospace systems.
“Andrew’s credentials are impeccable and his patent expertise and international experience will add significant value to Mewburn’s client delivery and business development,” said Richard Johnson, partner in the firm’s Bristol office, where Mears is based.
Mears commented: “Mewburn Ellis’s track-record and reputation for IP excellence is well known and the firm has ambitious plans for growth. It’s an exciting time to be joining the firm.”
Mewburn Ellis, which last year celebrated its 150th anniversary, has committed to moving its Bristol and Cambridge offices to larger premises this autumn.
