Kasowitz Benson Torres has hired Daniel Miller as special counsel in the firm’s IP litigation group.
Miller, who will be based in the firm’s Washington, DC office, joins from MicroStrategy, a provider of cloud-based services. There, he served as principal senior counsel, managing commercial, patent and pre-litigation matters.
Before MicroStrategy, Miller spent nearly seven years as a patent litigation counsel at Google, where he oversaw Google’s infrastructure-related patent litigation.
Miller has nearly 15 years of experience, with a background in software and hardware systems.
Jonathan Waldrop, head of the firm’s IP litigation group, said: “We frequently worked with Dan while he was working at our client Google, and we’re delighted that he will be able to enhance our IP capabilities.”
