Jones Day hires partner in San Diego

Law firm Jones Day has hired Carl Kukkonen as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice in San Diego.

Kukkonen has experience in patent licensing and has represented clients in the software, electrical engineering, and technology industries.

He joins from law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, and Popeo.

Karen Hewitt, partner in charge of the firm’s San Diego office, said: “Carl is a highly talented attorney with a substantial background in high stakes patent matters covering a number of important technologies. This will be invaluable to Jones Day clients around the world.”
