Gordon & Rees hires partner in Washington, DC

US law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani has hired John Ryan as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice.

Ryan previously worked at law firm Crowell & Moring, where he was also a partner.

He has experience in licensing, patent infringement and portfolio management, and has represented clients in the chemical and biotechnology industries.

He is also joined by Thomas Haas and Elias Vargas, who join the firm as of counsel and associate, respectively.

O’Kelly McWilliams, office managing partner of the firm’s Washington DC office, said: “We are pleased to continue our aggressive expansion of our IP practice in the DC office by adding three skilled attorneys.”
