CPA Global develops Silicon Valley presence

IP management and software specialist CPA Global has opened a new office in Silicon Valley.

The move is intended to meet the demand for IP management in the region and increases CPA’s presence in California - in February it acquired Silicon Valley-based software company First to File.

The new office is based in Redwood City, bringing the company closer to more than 220 of its corporate and law firm clients in California. CPA’s other offices are in Alexandria, Minneapolis and Houston.

Peter Sewell, CPA Global’s chief executive officer, said: “Opening an office in California brings us closer to our West Coast clients, and helps us better understand their needs and the unique characteristics of the region. This in turn will enable us to provide highly customised services and solutions to meet their individual requirements.”

He continued: “We are delighted to establish a direct presence in a region where so much cutting- edge innovation is being developed. We aim to play a prominent role in the conversations driving the IP industry; and our Silicon Valley IP Leaders Seminar is the first of many industry events we will deliver in the region, aimed at sharing information and discussing issues impacting IP professionals.”
