Clyde & Co opens new office in Los Angeles
Clyde & Co has opened a new office in Los Angeles.
The new office officially opened yesterday and will initially consist of two partners, an of counsel, a senior associate and an associate.
Julie Hawkinson was part of the founding team of lawyers in Clyde & Co’s San Francisco office in 2008 and will work as a partner at the office.
She has experience representing insurers on claims made under policies including technology, media and IP infringement liability.
“In addition to its well-known prowess in the creative industries, LA also has a burgeoning technology sector based around Silicon Beach,” she said in a statement
“This is leading to a growing volume of technology-related activity for our insurance clients and we look forward to growing our client base in the city by having a permanent base there.”
Jim Koelzer, who joins from Robins Kaplan, will be the second partner at the office and focuses his practice on bad-faith litigation, first party property and liability policies.
