Baker Botts promotes two to partner

Law firm Baker Botts has promoted Hogene Choi and Ali Dhanani to partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice.

They work in the firm’s Palo Alto and Houston offices respectively.

Choi has experience in patent prosecution and counselling, and often represents clients in the electronics and nanotechnology industries.

Dhanani focuses his practice on patent litigation, prosecution, and preparation.

He represents clients in the telecommunications industry.

The move comes as part of 12 promotions overall at the firm.

Andrew Baker, managing partner at the firm, said: “This is an outstanding group of lawyers. They represent future leaders of our firm and of the communities in which we are privileged to serve.”

The promotions will be effective on January 1, 2016.
