Baker Botts opens San Francisco office

Law firm Baker Botts has opened a new office in San Francisco.

The firm initially announced the move in October last year, but the office officially opened its doors yesterday, January 7.

It is the second California-based office belonging to the firm, which already has a base in Palo Alto.

Bart Showalter, chair of the firm’s intellectual property practice, said: “Baker Botts has a well-earned reputation as a leader in patent prosecution and litigation, and California and Texas are two of the most active regions.

“Establishing a strong San Francisco presence demonstrates the firm’s commitment to being a world-class technology law firm.”
