AWA Group acquires five Pronovem offices

IP firm AWA has taken over a part of Benelux IP group Pronovem, specifically its five offices in Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Pronovem also has an office in Luxembourg that has not joined the AWA Group and continues to operate separately.

AWA said the acquisition expands its presence into three new markets through the three offices in Belgium, as well as an office in Switzerland and an office in the Netherlands, “further cementing” its foothold in Europe.

It said the addition of Pronovem will provide on-the-ground support for AWA clients in these countries and extend Awa’s language capabilities.

Magnus Hallin, the CEO of AWA Group, said Pronovem will bring deep IP experience that aligns with AWA’s mission, vision and purpose.

“Pronovem increases the diversity amongst our team, provides a stronger foothold in the European market and expands our presence for our clients,” Hallin said.

Hallin added: “There is an incredible opportunity ahead for knowledge and expertise sharing as we become one of the largest IP firms in Europe with a presence in Asia.”

Dominique Rifon, a CEO of Pronovem, said “combining Pronovem and AWA’s resources creates a strong and unique offering for our clients. Together we can provide the IP tools of the future”.

Magnus Hallin is also a CEO of the AWA Group.
