Patent ineligibility in Ericsson v TCL
Ericsson v TCL Communication Technology Holdings began in 2015 when Ericsson filed suit alleging infringement of five patents against TCL (Case No. 18-2003, 2020 WL 1856498 [Fed Cir, Apr 14, 2020]). TCL successfully challenged four of the patents through inter partes review.

15 April 2020 In a victory for Chinese electronics company TCL, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has thrown out a $100 million patent infringement verdict that Ericsson had won against the Chinese company.
6 December 2019 A long-running dispute over standard-essential patent licences will be sent back to a jury after the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit overturned a district court injunction in Ericsson v TCL.
