Tetra Pak legal counsel joins AWA

Law firm AWA has added Richard Lewinson, a legal counsel from food processing company Tetra Pak, as a partner in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lewinson, who has more than 30 years of IP experience, worked at Linklaters and Bird & Bird before joining Tetra Pak as a senior group legal counsel. Before that, he served as director of IPR and licensing at Ericsson.

Specialising in technology-driven industries, Lewinson is a national and international litigator and has experience in managing IP in China.

At AWA, Lewinson will be assisting clients with IP litigation, IP rights, FRAND (fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory) licensing, and other relevant commercial matters.

News of Lewinson’s appointment follows AWA’s announcement that Joakim Hammarsjö has re-joined the firm as a team leader for the chemical and mechanical department in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Before returning to AWA, where he worked between 2001 and 2007, Hammarsjö served as group director of IP strategy and portfolio at Volvo.

AWA also recently welcomed senior IP strategist Martin Jansson to the firm’s Gothenburg office. Jansson previously worked as head of IP strategy and intellectual assets at manufacturing company SKF.
