Linklaters has elevated of its 24 lawyers to partner in 13 jurisdictions across 11 areas of practice, including Brussels-based IP lawyer Pieter Van Den Broecke (pictured).
The promotions will take effect on May 1.
Van Den Broecke specialises in contentious and non-contentious work relating to trademarks, trade dress, patents, copyrights, software, domain names, customs seizures and trade secrets.
He is also involved in the negotiation and drafting of contracts relating to IP and IP strategic alliances, and trademark portfolio management.
Van Den Broecke started his legal career in 1998 at Belgium firm De Bandt, Van Hecke, Lagae & Loesch. He joined Linklaters in 2002 after De Bandt merged with the firm.
Linklaters has also appointed 31 new counsels.
