Goodwin Procter adds another partner to IP team

Law firm Goodwin Procter has added a partner to its San Francisco office.

Patent specialist Brett Schuman will join the firm’s litigation group. He arrives from Morgan Lewis & Bockius, where he led its litigation practice.

Schuman (pictured below, left) focuses on patent cases on behalf of companies in the technology industry including mobile phone and broadband communications.

Douglas Kline, chair of Goodwin’s IP litigation group, said: “We are excited to have Brett join our dynamic, growing practice.”

Schuman’s arrival follows Shane Brun’s (pictured below, right) in San Francisco four weeks ago and a five partner team’s from Kenyon & Kenyon in September.
