Bass, Berry & Sims bulks up Washington, DC office
Law firm Bass, Berry & Sims has recruited Michael Kiklis to its Washington, DC office.
He will join the firm’s IP and technology office, where he will bring 25 years of experience with him. Most recently, Kiklis served as partner at Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt.
Kiklis has represented clients in patent litigation, including trials before the US Patent and Trademark Office's Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He has been involved in approximately 100 PTAB trials.
“Mike brings a deep knowledge of the business and legal challenges our clients may face, especially in the technology space, informed by years of hands-on experience counselling clients through nearly every type of patent matter,” said Todd Rolapp, managing partner at the law firm.
Kiklis regularly serves as lead counsel in inter partes reviews and has been involved in covered business method proceedings.
He is also the author of “The Supreme Court on Patent Law”.
