Bardehle Pagenberg adds new partner in Barcelona
Bardehle Pagenberg has appointed Mathieu de Rooij as a partner in its Barcelona office, where he will serve as European patent attorney.
De Rooij previously served as a partner at ZMB Patents, also based in Barcelona, from 2011.
A former European Patent Office examiner, his practice focuses on patents in the renewable energy, medical devices, aerospace and automotive sectors.
In a statement, de Rooij said that Bardehle Pagenberg offered a “quite unique combination of expertise on both legal and technical aspects of IP, including prosecution and litigation, that I believe really adds value to my clients”.
Johannes Heselberger, managing partner at Bardehle Pagenberg, said that de Rooij’s “profound expertise in all areas of patent law strengthens our offering in the Spanish market for Spanish as well as international clients”.
