Neal Gerber strengthens practice with tech-focused IP partner
The former co-chair of Freeborn & Peters’ IP litigation practice has joined Neal Gerber Eisenberg as a partner.
As a partner in the firm’s IP practice group, Timothy Nitsch will focus his practice on advising clients and prosecuting patent applications for products such as internet-based software, and cellular and telecoms devices.
Tom McDonough, co-chair of the firm’s IP practice group, said: “We are excited to welcome Tim to our deep bench of IP professionals at Neal Gerber Eisenberg. He adds depth to our patent litigation and prosecution practices, particularly in the technology and telecoms space, and perfectly complements the capabilities of our existing team.”
Nitsch, who served as co-chair of Freeborn & Peters IP litigation practice for two years, also has experience in filing and prosecuting patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty, procedural actions before the Patent Trial and Appeals Board and appellate proceedings at the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Scott Fisher, managing partner of Neal Gerber Eisenberg, added: “Tim will fit seamlessly within our firm’s industrious and collaborative culture. His practical experience and technical background will be an asset to the firm and our clients.”
