Dykema appoints IP director
US-based law firm Dykema has appointed Dan Harkins as director of its IP department.
He succeeds Allan Gabriel, who served in the role for three years.
Harkins has more than 25 years of experience in advising clients on how to protect and enhance their IP assets, and litigating patent, trademark, domain name, copyright and trade secret disputes.
He has served as defence counsel in various patent infringement litigation actions brought by non-practising entities.
“The strength of our team and its track-record of success provides a great foundation to address our clients’ evolving needs in 2018 and beyond,” said Harkins.
