HGF continues expansion with two new partners
HGF has hired UK and EU trademark and patent attorneys Rigel Moss McGrath and Kerry Rees from IP prosecution and litigation firm WP Thompson.
Moss McGrath, who will be based in HGF’s Manchester office, focuses her practice on trademark portfolio management work such as clearance searches, due diligence, filing strategies and the provision of infringement and validity opinions.
David Potter, head of trademarks at HGF, said Moss McGrath would be a “strong asset to the trademarks team”.
Rees, based in London, handles patent work in various life sciences sectors, including biotechnology, genomics, proteomics, and immunology.
Kate Taylor, head of life sciences at the firm, said: “Kerry will be an excellent addition to the life sciences team, and we are excited to welcome him to the firm. Kerry’s experience and expertise adds even more strength to our highly regarded specialist life sciences team.”
The appointments follow a year of growth at the firm, including its merger with Patronus IP, extending its reach across Germany and Austria.
The firm also opened a second Ireland office in Dublin, taking the total to 22 offices throughout the UK and Europe.
