Taylor Wessing appoints new partner to its Paris office
The Paris office of international law firm Taylor Wessing has appointed Catherine Muyl as partner to its patents practice.
Muyl specialises in patent related issues in IP, including litigation matters. Joining from Morgan Lewis & Bockius, where she both established and headed its IP team, Muyl has previously worked for French-based law firm Giroux, Buhagiar & Associés and US-based law firm Jones Day.
She was admitted to the Paris bar in 1988 and the New York bar in 1994.
Muyl said: “Taylor Wessing’s UK and German offices have excellent reputations in IP. I’m looking forward to working internationally with them in a truly international, full practice firm.”
Gilles Amsallem, managing partner of Taylor Wessing’s Paris office, said: “Catherine’s international IP expertise means Taylor Wessing now has a highly specialised Franco-Anglo-German team in patents.”
