Simmons & Simmons strengthens in Germany

Law firm Simmons & Simmons has expanded its intellectual property group by hiring Michael Knospe as a partner in the firm’s Munich office.

Knospe joins from law firm King & Wood Mallesons, where he worked as a senior equity partner.

He has experience in trademarks, unfair competition and patent ligation.

His clients include companies in the technology, media, telecoms and consumer goods industries.

Caroline von Nussbaum and Massimo Bellitto-Grillo also join the firm as counsel and associate.

Rowan Freeland, partner and IP group head, said: “We are excited to welcome Michael to our team and are eager to get to work with him.

“Michael’s arrival is a real vote of confidence in the firm’s international IP practice, and his presence will strengthen both our intellectual property offering on the ground in Germany and our wider international practice.”
