Orrick promotes three IP lawyers to partnership
Orrick has bolstered its IP offering by promoting three lawyers to the firm’s partnership.
Jonathan Chou, who joined the firm in 2017, counsels technology companies at all stages of corporate governance, including IP transactions and strategy. He is a member of the firm’s technology companies group, which is based in New York. He also has extensive experience advising angel, venture and strategic investors who are active in the technology sector.
Also promoted to partnership is Timothy Greene, who helps clients maximise their IP and technology portfolios. He is a member of the firm’s technology companies and technology transactions groups, based in Santa Monica. His specialism involves advising clients on technology licensing and IP matters in connection with mergers, acquisitions, financings and other commercial transactions.
The third partner is Christopher Higgins, a patent litigator who is a member of Orrick’s IP group based in Washington, DC. His technical and litigation expertise in graphics processing and display technologies has led him to represent clients such as Nvidia and Fujifilm.
The three lawyers were among 17 in total that were promoted to partnership within the firm.
