European IP consultancy firm Gevers has combined practices with French company Cabinet Orès.
The merger means that between them the companies now employ more than 100 lawyers, engineers and staff in France.
“This is an important transaction which will open new perspectives for our respective clients,” said Steven De Keyser, chief executive of Gevers.
“Together, we now offer expertise in many technical areas, ranging from biology, biotechnology, chemistry, physics, electronics and mechanics to many others.”
Created in in Belgium in 1898, Gevers employs more than 200 professionals with offices in eight locations in Europe, including two in France.
Founded in Paris in 1972, Cabinet Orès employs approximately 60 people.
Although Gevers has become the main shareholder of Cabinet Orès, the firms will continue to carry out business with their existing teams from their current premises.
