Europe-based boutique IP firm Hoyng Rokh Monegier has promoted one of its patent attorneys to partnership.
Johan Elkenbracht has wide-ranging experience in patent litigation covering drafting and prosecution, as well as oppositions and appeals to the European Patent Office. His focus is on life sciences, processing technology, general chemistry and the materials sector.
Elkenbracht, who joined the firm in 2014, regularly appears before Dutch courts in patent litigation and advises clients on the development and implementation of IP strategies.
Bart van den Broek, managing partner of Hoyng Rokh Monegier’s Amsterdam office, said Elkenbracht will become the patent team’s fifth partner.
“Johan has extensive expertise in the life sciences and processing technology sectors. Since joining the firm in 2014, he has been instrumental in the expansion of the firm’s patent practice,” van den Broek added.
Prior to joining Hoyng Rokh Monegier, Elkenbracht worked as an in-house patent attorney for multinational company Royal DSM.
