King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin has promoted Axel Walz to partner in Munich. The appointment is one of a series of promotions at the firm since July 2013.
Walz (pictured left) advises on IP law, unfair trade practices and patent litigation. He worked in the IP department at BMW before joining the firm in 2011.
Stuart Fuller, global management partner, said: “Our clients look to us to have exceptionally bright, culturally intelligent partners in all of our markets internationally. These 26 new partners will continue to make a big impact on our clients and our business, and are integral as we drive forward.”
Walz’s appointment follows the promotion of Hui Li to partner in late 2013. He joined the Beijing office IP team.
