UK IP firm Boult Wade Tennant has opened a new office in Berlin.
Boult Wade Tennant said the new office will strengthen the firm’s presence in Europe. It also has offices in Munich and Madrid.
The firm said the centrally located office will be headed up by Michael Maier. Maier, who is a partner at the firm, has experience in developing strategic initiatives addressing complex IP issues with a focus on trademark law, design law, copyright and unfair competition.
Maier also manages worldwide trademark portfolios as well as opposition and cancellation matters, including appeal procedures before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Managing partner and head of the firm’s trademark and domain names practice, John Wallace, said the firm was looking forward to “continue to grow and expand into the European market”.
