UK appoints new IP advisor

UK Prime Minister (PM) David Cameron has appointed a new advisor to assist with IP matters in a bid to clamp down on copyright infringement.

Mike Weatherley (pictured), member of parliament for Hove and Portslade, has been appointed to advise the PM on IP matters with a special focus on the creative industries.

Commenting on his new appointment, Weatherley said he was “honoured” to have been handed the role.
