Two Mexican IP firms merge to create Firma
IP law firm Agency Firma and patent boutique Piin have merged to create Firma, which has full patent capabilities.
The firm was founded by Julián Vadillo and Francisco Rueda, who both established Agency Firma in November 2014.
Esther López joins the firm as patent director. She has more than 20 years of experience in IP, mainly in patent analysis for the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and agro-industrial fields.
Juan Pablo Alonso and Olga Luz Toy join as senior directors. Alonso also holds the role of sub-director of patents.
David Rodríguez will serve as a litigation lawyer.
Vadillo said: “The ability to service clients is a priority, and our continued growth demonstrates that commitment.”
He added that the established practice, coupled with the substantial, focused experience that Alonso and López bring to the team, will make Firma one of the most solid firms in the industry.
