Steptoe & Johnson boosts Chicago office

Thomas Holt has joined Steptoe & Johnson LLP as a partner, the firm announced in July.

The attorney leaves Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione for the firm’s Chicago office.

Holt practises trademark, trade dress, copyright and patent law.

Alfred Mamlet, head of Steptoe’s IP Group, said: “Tom will help us expand our national IP practice from the Midwest. Tom’s strong trademark litigation and counselling practice will benefit Steptoe’s clients by providing a great complement to the team we have in place on both coasts.”
