US law firm Skiermont Derby has expanded its intellectual property practice by hiring Mieke Malmberg and Hajir Ardebili as partners in Los Angeles.
Malmberg joins from law firm Glaser Weil Fink Howard Avchen & Shapiro and Ardebili previously worked at Kelley Drye & Warren.
Malmberg has experience in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret disputes for clients in the software, wireless devices and telecommunications industries.
Ardebili’s experience includes trademark and copyright litigation, and he has represented clients in the film and television industries.
The firm also promoted Sadaf Abdullah to partner; she works in the firm’s Dallas office.
