Mayer Brown promotes 31 to partner

Mayer Brown has appointed two lawyers with IP experience to partner in the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Dara Kurlancheek, a patent attorney whose practice focuses on complex patent litigation, has been appointed as an IP partner.

She has experience across a wide range of technologies and industries, including electronic banking and payment systems, computer memory systems, and video analytics. Kurlancheek has extensive arbitration experience in domestic and international disputes.

Stephen Medlock has been appointed as a litigation and dispute resolution partner.

He focuses his practice on antitrust litigation and criminal investigations, with an emphasis on the overlap between antitrust and IP law and high-technology markets.

Paul Theiss, chairman of Mayer Brown, said: “This significant milestone in their careers is attributable to our clients’ trust in our new partners. It is also a consequence of our new partners’ superb legal skills and business acumen, as well as their dedication to collegiality and teamwork across our practice areas and geographic boundaries.”
