Litigators swap DLA Piper for Orrick

Robert Benson and Chris Broderick have swapped DLA Piper LLP for Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, and will work in its intellectual property group.

Benson, who has more than 20 years’ experience in IP litigation, joins Orrick’s Los Angeles office. Broderick, another litigation specialist, will work in Orange County.

Both men have handled a wide range of IP disputes, between them representing brands including Sharp, Olympus and Panasonic. “With Chris and Robert working alongside our team in the US and in Asia, we are now better positioned to represent all of Japan’s top consumer electronic players,” said Stephen Routh, co-head of Orrick’s IP group.
