Fish & Richardson appoints IP litigation principal
Fish & Richardson has appointed former McDermott Will & Emery partner Brian Gaff as principal of the firm’s litigation practice in its Boston office.
Gaff has tried a wide range of cases including patent infringement and trade secrets in front of district courts across the country and before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
He also advises clients regarding patent and IP rights in connection with financing, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions.
“Brian is our third major lateral hire in the past month and we are thrilled to have him join our team,” said Kurt Glitzenstein, Fish & Richardson’s litigation practice group leader.
“He is an accomplished IP trial lawyer with deep technical experience in medical device, telecom, hardware and software technologies, sectors where Fish has a robust client base,” he added.
Earlier this month, WIPR reported that Fish & Richardson hired a former partner of Patterson + Sheridan as principal in its litigation group in the firm’s Houston office.
Jayme Partridge joined after two and a half years at Patterson + Sheridan. Previously, Partridge served as in-house litigation counsel for ExxonMobil and worked as a mechanical engineer.
