Womble Carlyle hires partner in Washington, DC

US-based law firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice has hired John Cuddihy as a partner in its antitrust and intellectual property practice in Washington, DC.

Cuddihy joins from US law firm Ballard Spahr, where he also worked as a partner.

He has experience in trademarks, patents and trade secrets, and has represented clients in the e-commerce and computer software industries.

Jeffrey McFadden, the firm’s patent prosecution and IP litigation practice group leader, said: “John has an outstanding track record as an IP litigation attorney. We’re glad to have him on our team in DC as we continue to expand this practice.”
