Weil bumps patent litigator up to partner

Law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges has promoted Anish Desai to partner.

Desai, formerly an associate, who works at the Washington, DC office of the firm, specialises in patent litigation.

He has represented companies including General Electric and has litigated in front of US district courts and the International Trade Commission.

Desai specialises in semiconductor processing, networking, computer architecture, and renewable energy.

The promotion is one of several at the firm, which has promoted 12 lawyers to partner and 15 to counsel.

Weil has offices in 20 locations around the world and has more than 1,000 lawyers.
