The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is set to host its first conference dedicated to trade secrets.
The meeting, at the USPTO’s Alexandria, Virginia office, will feature representatives from academia, government and legal practice who will discuss the trade secret issues faced today.
Topics up for discussion include legislative proposals, the challenges of estimating losses due to trade secret theft, the intersection of patents and trade secrets, and the response to trade secret theft in the US.
The symposium will be held on January 8 at the USPTO’s Madison Building, in Alexandria, from 9am to 3pm. Attendance is free.
