UK IP attaché for China to host events for businesses

The UK’s IP attaché in China is set to take part in a series of business events throughout the UK this week.

Tom Duke will share his expertise and hear directly from UK companies about their IP issues and how to protect rights in  China.

The focus of the seminars, taking place from October 23 to 24, will be on science, innovation and technology, and will focus on companies in the pharmaceutical, hi-tech manufacturing and advanced engineering sectors.

The sessions will be hosted by the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC).

Attachés help build relations with the governments of host countries to understand and engage with IP policymakers.

Earlier this year, WIPR interviewed Duke about his role and the problems faced in helping UK businesses in China.

Events will be held in Birmingham and Manchester (on October 23), and London and Cambridge (on October 24).

More information is available on the CBBC website.
