Trump announces another wave of judicial nominations

US President Donald Trump has announced nine judicial nominations, three of which will serve in circuit courts.

The remainder have been nominated for district judge positions and other roles, while Trump announced his intent to nominate a further two judicial appointments.

Trump nominated Stephanos Bibas, described as “one of the nation’s leading experts in criminal law and procedure”, who will serve as a circuit judge on the Third Circuit.

Allison Eid of Colorado will work as a circuit judge on the Tenth Circuit.

Eid currently serves as a justice of the Colorado Supreme Court.

Ralph Erickson of North Dakota will work as a circuit judge on the Eighth Circuit, after having served on the US District Court for the District of North Dakota since 2003.

Dabney Friedrich, Timothy Kelly and Trevor McFadden will all serve as district judges on the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

Claria Horn Boom of Kentucky will be a district judge on the US District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.
