Thompson Hine welcomes two in Washington, DC

US-based law firm Thompson Hine has expanded its business litigation practice in Washington, DC by hiring Thomas Southard and Brian Seal as partner and senior counsel.

Southard and Seal join from law firm RatnerPrestia, where they worked as a shareholder and counsel, respectively.

Southard’s experience includes patents, trademarks and copyright infringement.

Seal’s practice focuses on licensing, trade secrets and commercial litigation for clients in the computer software, consumer products and medical devices industries.

Both lawyers have litigated in federal district and appellate courts, including the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
