Swiss law firms meyerlustenberger and Lachenal & Le Fort have merged, they announced in March.
The two firms have combined their offices in Swiss cities Zurich, Geneva, Zug and Lausanne, as well as in Brussels, Belgium, to form Meyerlustenberger Lachenal. The new firm has 85 lawyers and ranks as one of the largest law firms in Switzerland.
“Clients want our lawyers to be specialised and to have a profound understanding of their business and the legal issues related to it. It is the board's top priority to organize the practice teams in order to take advantage of the firm's enlarged knowledge pool,” said Meyerlustenberger Lachenal partner Thomas Lustenberger.
The firm's IP practice covers patents and pharmaceutical law, as well as trademarks, designs and advertising.
Attorneys Philippe Prost and Nicolas Didisheim have also joined the new firm. They were formerly partners with meyerlustenberger’s associated office in Geneva.
