Simmons & Simmons promotes three to partner in IP

Simmons & Simmons has promoted three lawyers to partner in the firm’s IP practice.

Andrew Hutchinson and Darren Meale were appointed as partners in London, while Mattie de Kohning was appointed in Amsterdam.

The promotions follow the arrival of IP partner Michael Burdon, who joined from Olswang on Tuesday, May 2.

Rowan Freeland, head of IP said, said: “These promotions follow a series of high-calibre hires that Simmons & Simmons has made over the last year, and I am very pleased to welcome Andrew, Mattie and Darren to the partnership.”

Nine other lawyers were promoted to partnership across the firm.
