Rouse to end trademark agency services in UK
Law firm Rouse has revealed plans to move away from providing trademark agency and civil litigation services in the UK.
This follows the departure of four intellectual property specialists to law firm Osborne Clarke.
Jeremy Newman, Rouse UK country manager, said: “As an international and specialist IP firm with a focus on complex and emerging markets, we have decided to move away from providing UK civil litigation and trademark agency services from the UK.”
Rouse will instead intensify its focus in the UK on “strategic international IP advisory services”.
The decision does not in any way affect Rouse's owned or associated legal practices outside the UK, the firm said.
Osborne Clarke hired Arty Rajendra as a partner, Mark Foreman as director of trademarks, Richard May as a senior associate and Leanne Gulliver as a trademark attorney in the firm’s London office.
Newman said: "It has been a pleasure working alongside Mark and Arty over the years. The contribution they have made to the firm’s ongoing growth and success has been enormous and they leave Rouse with our sincerest thanks and very best wishes for the future.”
