International law firm Jones Day has recruited a new partner to its Tokyo office.
Shogo Asaji joins from US-law firm Morrison & Foerster, where he was also partner.
He specialises in litigation and has prosecuted patents covering mechanical and electrical technology.
Asaji also works with US and European companies in filing patent applications in Japan.
Anthony Insogna, international chair of Jones Day’s IP practice, said: “Shogo adds tremendous patent experience to our team in Japan—one of the largest tech-driven economies in the world, and a well-known venture for contentious IP matters.”
