Orrick adds to Silicon Valley office

Law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe has boosted its intellectual property practice with the appointment of Patrick Ellisen as a partner.

Ellisen, who was formerly a partner at law firm Greenberg Traurig, joins the firm’s Taiwan-focused practice in Silicon Valley.

He focuses on counselling and enforcement in all areas of IP.

Ellisen is second addition to Orrick’s Taiwan-focused practice this month after Ya-Chiao Chang joined the firm from law firm Kirkland & Ellis.

Mark Wine, co-chair of Orrick’s patent practice, said: “We are delighted to add both Pat and Ya-Chiao to our team.”
