Novagraaf has appointed Ruud Peters (pictured left) to its supervisory board.
He was previously chief intellectual property officer at Philips.
Peters joined Philips in 1977, and from 1999 he was responsible for leading the company’s IP strategy.
He left Philips in 2013, but remained connected to the company, working as a consultant.
Lutgarde Liezenberg, chief executive of Novagraaf, said: “He has extensive expertise in successfully developing, acquiring and exploiting IP globally ... His clear vision for market developments and understanding of customer needs will play a key role in Novagraaf’s future growth plans.”
Peters said: “I am delighted to be joining Novagraaf’s supervisory board ... At a time in which IP is becoming increasingly important as a distinctive competitive element, I hope to use my experience to contribute to the development of the strong position of the Novagraaf Group in the international market.”
Novagraaf is a Netherlands-based IP law firm, with offices across Europe.
