NLO hires patent attorney

Europe-based consultancy firm NLO has hired Steven Sarlet as a patent attorney in the firm’s office in Ghent, Belgium.

Sarlet joins from law firm Gevers, where he worked as senior IP counsel.

He has experience in the patentability of inventions, IP protection strategies, patent infringement and enforcement, patent validity and licence agreements.

His clients include companies in the mechanics, electronics, semiconductors, telecommunications and computer-implemented inventions industries.

Sarlet has also handled oppositions and appeals at the European Patent Office.
